Jeffrey’s Personal Reflection!

Welcome 2006

Jefferson enjoyed his “first” day at his school. After all, it’s really a beginning of an exciting journey of real schooling. He loves school and having friends around him. Wearing his brand new school shirt brought smiles and joy to all of us at DEE (Desa Embun Emas).

Anyway, can’t comment too much about how 2006 is gonna be but at least I beat many to the predictions of what is to come. Elena and Louis from US ( a family friend) predicted Trinidad and Tabago to win the World Cup! Consulted a bomoh and they confirmed my worst fears! This team is going to reach the Finals in Germany and beating England 2-1!

Well, we were at Melaka a couple days ago. On our way, Carol want to buy smelly beans and gosh - we were surprised that the season for this fruit is back again.

See the smiles of mother and children happily peeling away the smelly beans. Comments (2)

Merry Xmas World

The smell of celebrations is in the air! Jefferson and Cornelius are so excited to find out what they have in store for presents under the Xmas tree. Although we are not Christians, we celebrate Christmas like many others across the world. What we hope for is peace and harmony throughout the world.

I have had a rough 3 months in FY2005 but I guess with good friends and family members, I sailed through it like a breeze. Wishing all of you Merry Xmas and Happy New Year for a good 2006.

My personal wish is peace and harmony in our beautiful land known as Malaysia!

To all relatives reading in, Merry Xmas and Happy New Year.

Mechandising

oy! What a week it has been! Jefferson has been asking me to get him merchandise related to Narnia - the current fantasy movie that is showing at the teaters. I am not sure if any parents out are going through this but as a marketer, they are doing it well. The trailers are all over. TV, radio, newspapers!

I was darn tired last nite. Kung Fu Hustle was on AXN. Didn’t want to watch it as I was not so thrilled with Stephen Chow’s performance. Guess HK is running out of movies. Not many good movies are coming out lately.

Today’s Friday - wanted to go out and have a walk around my apartment area. Looks like it started to rain again! Nevertheless, you should check out this site http://local.live.com Gives a different meaning to Google Earth.

Not gonna be doing much. Spend time with family and counting the days before Xmas. The shopping market seems to be rather crowded but I did hear that purchases are down. With the slight rise in the interest rates, the smart shoppers would know what to do. So much for my knowledge on Economics. Do remember this from my Uni days - “increase in interest rates would dampen consumer spending. Cash will stashed at the bank and stocks will be least prefered” Alamak! No wonder I got a B for my Microeconomics.

My first ever posting!

This is my first ever blog so to speak. As the rest of the world started blogging many moons earlier, this is my first attempt. I want to at least pen a few words. Irregardless, views could be very drastic but it comes from the heart. Andrew - if you are reading this, thanks for all the good words at 11 am 8 Dec 2005. I am truly grateful for all the stuff you have done and said.

It’s Thursday morning and grey as usual in Penang Malaysia. My son, Jefferson can’t make it for his swimming lessons and of course, my dear wife , Carol is looking forward to her class reunion. I am looking forward for a mental break. About to break into pieces but sanity will prevail.

Just trying out for the first time. To all my friends, continue to read. It’s going to fun.
